About the Team
Founded in 2011, Prima Dance School is a well-established dance academy in the Greater Toronto Area, now proudly entering its 14th year with over 250 students trained both in-person across the GTA and online around the world.
Known for their excellence in Tamil Folk and Cinematic dance, Prima explores a wide variety of styles that ignite passion and joy on stage. Beyond performance, their mission is rooted in inclusivity — breaking barriers and stigmas around disability through the power of movement. They believe dance is for everyone, regardless of age, skill level, or ability.
Prima’s vibrant performances have lit up stages across numerous festivals and cultural showcases. At Maha Onam 2025, they’re ready to bring the house down with a power-packed Tamil cinematic fusion performance — promising energy, emotion, and an invitation for the crowd to dance along.
