Meet Sam Taju Ninan, a 15-year-old violin prodigy from Oshawa, performing at Maha Onam 2024!
Sam Taju Ninan is a 15-year-old violinist based in Oshawa. He regularly does gigs such as weddings, parties, and special occasions. Sam started his violin journey when he was 8 years old and always keen on helping out the community with his violin. Sam has been a part of many charities in the past by performing violin, such as:
- Working with the Salvation Army Christmas kettle donations (2018)
- Raising funds for the 2019 floods in Kerala $1200 handed over to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief fund (2019)
- Member NorthSouthEastWest band, KidsRockForKids to help raise funds for teens in need (2023 & 2024). The organization raised over $50K.
- Raising funds for Lake Ridge Hospital at Oshawa Centre (2024)
- He has done many competitions and performances such as:
- Appeared on City TV’s Canada’s got Talent (2024)
- Finalist in the CNE Rising Star competition (2023)
- 1st place in the Vstar competition, Brampton (2021)
- Two-time Pickering Rotary Festival 1st prize winner (2023 and 2020)
- Played for the City of Oshawa (Peony festival 2024, Christmas Merry Market 2022)
- Member La Jeunesse Youth Orchestra and Oshawa Little theatre orchestra
